USDT TRC20 fees on exchanges and in wallets

Updated 26 October 2026. Figures checked on TRON mainnet transactions and network parameters.

Short answer

Withdrawing USDT TRC20 from an exchange costs a fixed 0.5–1.99 USDT (28 October 2026), whoever the recipient is. A transfer between two accounts on the same exchange is usually free. A wallet without energy burns 6.43 TRX ($2.13), or 13.03 TRX ($4.31) to an address that has never held USDT; Trust Wallet, TokenPocket and TronLink can pay with rented energy or in USDT instead.

Exchange withdrawal fees

The fee is the same for a new and an old recipient and does not depend on the amount: exchanges pay the network with their own staked energy and charge a flat rate. The figures come from the exchanges' public fee data on 28 October 2026. *OKX did not show its USDT fees to us, so its row is taken from two fee summaries of 6 and 20 October. Bybit no longer publishes its withdrawal fee; check it in the withdrawal window before sending.

Free transfers inside an exchange

If the recipient has an account on the same exchange, send by their UID, email or phone instead of a TRON address: the transfer is free and arrives at once, without a blockchain transaction. Bybit, KuCoin, Bitget, Gate and MEXC describe this in their help pages; Binance does it through Binance Pay.

Trust Wallet

Trust Wallet rents energy through Tronify when that is cheaper than burning TRX, and automatically picks whether to charge the fee in TRX or USDT. The price is shown on the confirmation screen; Trust Wallet does not publish it and speaks of savings of up to 40%.

TokenPocket

TokenPocket has its own energy rental, a switch on the transfer screen: 0.78 USDT per transfer to a USDT holder, 1.09 USDT to a new address, or 3.6 TRX if you pay in TRX.

TronLink and GasFree

An ordinary TronLink account burns TRX when it has no energy. A separate GasFree account in TronLink takes the fee in the token you send: by our count of 120 GasFree transactions on 27 October 2026, 1.5 USDT per transfer and 3 USDT for the first one, which activates the account.

Binance Wallet

Since September 2026 Binance Wallet can take the network fee for a USDT TRC20 transfer in USDT. Until 22 December 2026 it runs a zero-fee campaign backed by TRON DAO while places last, then 1 USDT per transfer, as reported by crypto.news; we have not found the announcement on binance.com, so check the fee in the app.

Exodus, MetaMask and Ledger

These wallets have no built-in rental: without energy they burn TRX, and the only way to pay less is to stake TRX yourself. Exodus shows the fee as “TRON Max Network Fee”, and 0 TRX when the address has enough energy.

Which way is cheaper

If the money is on an exchange anyway, withdrawing straight to the recipient costs 0.5–1.99 USDT. If the USDT is already in your wallet, energy is cheaper than burning. In TokenPocket the built-in rental costs 0.78 USDT; in any other wallet Quietfee delivers energy for 2.51 TRX ($0.83) per transfer to a USDT holder, paid in TRX or USDT. The calculator shows what a TRON address paid in fees over the last 7 days.
